Anthropic’s Annualized Revenue Run Rate Surpasses $65 Billion, Accelerating Growth
Anthropic has reported a remarkable acceleration in its revenue growth, with its annualized revenue run rate exceeding $65 billion as of the end of July, according to Bloomberg. This figure represents a significant increase from $47 billion in May and just $9 billion at the end of the previous year.
Investors are optimistic about Anthropic’s trajectory, anticipating that the company’s revenue will continue to grow at a similar pace throughout the rest of the year, potentially reaching between $100 billion and $120 billion by 2026, as noted by the Financial Times.
In comparison, rival OpenAI has seen its revenue double to $40 billion from $20 billion at the end of 2025, as reported by Bloomberg last week. Although the two companies may utilize different metrics to assess their revenues, Anthropic’s growth rate appears to have attracted more investor interest than that of OpenAI.
Both companies have submitted confidential IPO paperwork, with Anthropic expected to enter the public markets ahead of OpenAI, possibly this fall. The Financial Times reported that Anthropic is aiming for a public valuation of $2 trillion or more, which would mark the largest market debut on record.
In late May, Anthropic was valued at $965 billion following a $65 billion funding round.
