EA Sports Unveils Top 27 Rated Players for FC 27 Ahead of Release

EA Sports has announced the 27 top-rated men’s and women’s players in anticipation of the upcoming release of FC 27, scheduled for worldwide availability on September 25. Topping the men’s list are Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, each rated at 91. Mbappé’s rating remains unchanged from last year’s title, while Haaland has improved from a rating of 90.

Both players’ ratings reflect their impressive performances at this summer’s World Cup, where Haaland scored seven goals for Norway, dramatically increasing his visibility in the U.S. Mbappé netted ten times, earning his second World Cup Golden Boot and surpassing several legendary figures to become the leading scorer in World Cup history with 22 goals.

Following Haaland and Mbappé in the rankings are Rodri (Manchester City), Ousmane Dembélé (Paris Saint-Germain), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), and the England duo Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, all rated 90. Lionel Messi has also seen a rating increase to 89 from 86 after a noteworthy World Cup performance.

The top-rated men’s players include three Arsenal players: Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba, and Declan Rice. Six players from Paris Saint-Germain’s double Champions League-winning team also made the list. Significant movements include Virgil van Dijk’s drop from 90 in the last game to 88, and Mohamed Salah’s complete exit from the top 27 rankings due to a disappointing final season with Liverpool and a subsequent transfer to Trabzonspor.

Women’s Rankings Highlight Key Players

On the women’s side, Alexia Putellas, recently signed by London City Lionesses, maintains her position as the top-rated player with a score of 91. She ranks just above her former Barcelona teammate Aitana Bonmatí, who faced injury challenges in the 2025-26 season. Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw of Manchester City also held a strong rating of 90, contributing to her team’s Women’s Super League title.

Surprisingly, Arsenal forward Alessia Russo was downgraded from 89 to 88, despite her strong showings last season. A total of 11 players from the Women’s Super League appear among the top 27, underscoring the league’s increasing prominence.

The final lists for both men’s and women’s top-rated players reflect a blend of familiar stars and emerging talents, setting the stage for the latest installment of this popular football simulation game.
