LAFC Signs Forward Armindo Sieb from Bayern Munich through 2028-29 Season

Los Angeles FC (LAFC) has officially announced the signing of forward Armindo Sieb from Bayern Munich on a permanent transfer that runs through the 2028-29 MLS season, with an additional option to extend his stay until 2029-30.

Sieb, 23, joins LAFC after a two-season loan to Mainz, where he made 62 appearances and contributed five goals and three assists. Prior to his time at Mainz, Sieb had also spent time with Greuther Fürth in the 2. Bundesliga, where he scored 17 goals and provided four assists over 66 matches.

John Thorrington, LAFC President of Soccer Operations, expressed enthusiasm about the signing, stating, “Armindo is an exciting young player whose technical ability, pace, and attacking prowess will add another dimension to our attack. He has already gained valuable experience at a young age in one of the world’s top footballing environments and has consistently demonstrated the qualities we value in our players. We are excited to welcome Armindo to Los Angeles and believe he will play an important role in our pursuit of championships.”

Internationally, Sieb has represented Germany at various youth levels, including U16, U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21.

Currently, LAFC sits in second place in the Western Conference with 34 points from 19 games. The team is also competing in the 2026 Leagues Cup, where they have accumulated seven points from one win and two draws, the latter resulting in a penalty shootout win. LAFC is positioned third in the Leagues Cup table as they await results from matches involving Austin FC and Chicago Fire FC to determine their advancement to the knockout round.
