Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces Engage in Ongoing Conflict

The ongoing conflict in Sudan has escalated as the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continue their violent clashes. The fighting began in April 2023, primarily centered around the capital, Khartoum, and has resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction.

As of the latest reports, over 5,000 people have been killed due to the violence, with millions more displaced from their homes. The conflict has disrupted access to essential services, including healthcare and education, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation in the country.

In recent developments, both factions have intensified their military campaigns, leading to increased attacks on civilian neighborhoods.
