Perez Hilton’s Mother Seeks Temporary Custody of His Children After His Hospitalization
Perez Hilton’s family is taking steps to ensure the welfare of his three children following his hospitalization in Miami. The celebrity blogger, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira Jr., was admitted after experiencing self-harm during a livestream, resulting in significant blood loss.
In response to this incident, Hilton’s mother, Teresita Lavandeira, has filed for temporary custody of his children, who are aged between 8 and 13. Miami court documents reveal that Hilton has “voluntarily consented” to this custody request, allowing his mother to make medical and educational decisions on behalf of the children, as well as access their medical and educational records.
According to reports, Hilton acknowledged in the court documents that the temporary custody arrangement “is in the best interest of the children.” The documents also indicate that he retains the right to petition the court for the return of legal custody at any time.
Additionally, Lavandeira has submitted another filing requesting that the case be sealed from public view to protect the family’s privacy during this challenging time.
