Paris Jackson Reflects on First Meeting with Mother Debbie Rowe

Paris Jackson recently opened up about her initial encounter with her mother, Debbie Rowe, during an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast on August 12. Raised primarily by her father, Michael Jackson, until his death in 2009, and then by her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, Paris shared that meeting Rowe at age 15 was a surprisingly comfortable experience.

“I remember coming downstairs and she was in the living room with my grandma,” Paris, now 28, recounted. She approached Rowe, 67, and casually greeted her with, “Hey, mom.” Following this relaxed introduction, the two quickly engaged in conversation before spending the day together.

Paris noted the shared traits she has with Rowe, saying, “She’s a [Sagittarius] so she’s got the fire, and I’m an Aries so I got the fire. We’re very similar.” This immediate connection helped ease any potential awkwardness stemming from their unconventional family background.

Moreover, Paris acknowledged the impact of expectations on relationships, stating, “I understood how expectations can f–k us up,” which contributed to her open attitude during the meeting. Rowe is also the mother to Paris’s brother, Prince Jackson, who is 29 years old. The biological mother of Bigi “Blanket” Jackson, 24, has not been publicly identified.
