Paris Jackson Discusses Personal Experiences Through Music
Despite growing up in the public eye as the child of Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson emphasizes her desire for privacy and authenticity in her artistic expression. During an interview on the August 12 episode of “Call Her Daddy” with Alex Cooper, the 28-year-old singer opened up about her approach to discussing personal matters.
“There are maybe certain things that I don’t want to talk about in an interview or I may not want to talk about on my f–king Instagram,” Paris stated, highlighting her boundary regarding personal topics. “But with art, I’m going to be honest. I’m going to share my experience and then maybe I will talk about it later as it relates to the music.”
As the daughter of the late King of Pop, Paris Jackson is often compared to her father in the music industry. However, she clarifies that she does not seek to imitate Michael Jackson’s style. “When you place expectations on other people, you’re just going to end up sour about it,” she explained, stressing the importance of staying true to herself. “And that’s not really my business what other people think of me.”
Paris’s philosophy on individuality extends to her belief that trying to mold someone into a unique figure can lead to disappointment. “If you’re going to kind of try and turn someone into something that is one of a kind when no one else has been able to hold a light that that, you’re going to make yourself miserable doing that,” she added.
