Additionally, the hotfix resolves an audio problem where voiceover volume became “significantly quieter” after accessing the game’s pause menus. The patch notes detail a variety of fixes, including:
- Fixed an issue where the game couldn’t be saved or loaded if the path to the Documents folder contained special characters.
- Fixed an issue with voiceover audio becoming significantly quieter than other in-game sounds after navigating pause menu tabs.
- Made various visual adjustments in Velen, including tweaks to Bloom, vegetation lighting, saturation, and Path Tracing lighting.
- Reverted a change that caused significant performance and visual issues with HairWorks for some users.
- Fixed an issue where marketing telemetry settings weren’t saved correctly.
- Resolved a GOG issue where achievements would not display in the unlocked list after being earned.
- Addressed a problem preventing players from launching the Classic (1.32) version of the game.
- CD Projekt Red expresses gratitude for player patience while they continue to investigate reported issues.
In tandem with this PC-focused hotfix, another update targeting consoles was also released, which included “various lighting adjustments” and additional fixes.
The initial Remastered update for The Witcher 3 debuted earlier this week, introducing substantial visual enhancements, improved animations, and changes to enemy behavior and the skill tree. CD Projekt Red’s ongoing support and updates for this long-standing title have been met with positive feedback from the community.
