Charlie Cox Completes Voice Work for Unannounced Sega Game
- Charlie Cox has finished recording for an unannounced Sega game.
- The actor confirmed this news during New York Comic-Con 2026.
- Potential titles include *Stranger than Heaven* or *Total War: Warhammer 40K*.
British actor Charlie Cox, recognized for his role as Daredevil in Marvel’s Netflix series, has announced that he recently completed voice recording for an unannounced Sega video game. Cox also voiced the character Gustav in *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33*.
During an interview with IGN at New York Comic-Con 2026, he stated, “I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet. I did a Sega one. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do. It’s hard. It’s a whole different job, man.”
Further discussing the project, Cox mentioned, “I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say but I showed up for it, and [when] I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it. Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, ‘Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?’ And all of them went, ‘…oh, he’s English.’ They’d hoped, they’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent.”
Earlier in the year, Cox mentioned that working on *Clair Obscur* “opened a new avenue for my professional work” and indicated he would be recording for a new game within the year, suggesting that this Sega project is likely the one he had in mind.
Sega’s upcoming title set for release in January 2027, *Stranger than Heaven*, has already generated buzz due to its inclusion of celebrity cameos, such as Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur. However, the timeline raises questions about whether Cox’s recording efforts were for this specific title, as it appears late in production for extensive dialogue work.
Speculation exists around whether Cox could be involved in *Total War: Warhammer 40K*, which is also attracting high-profile talent, including *Stranger Things* star David Harbour. Alternatively, fans are eager for a potential role in *Alien Isolation 2*, although details are sparse.
As Cox’s work continues to expand in the gaming sector, he prepares for the release of the third season of *Daredevil: Born Again* in 2027, which is expected to conclude the series. The actor’s foray into video games signals an exciting development for fans.
