Grande and Ricky Álvarez Reignite Romance in 2026 After Initial Split
Pop star Ariana Grande and professional dancer Ricky Álvarez, whose relationship began in 2015 during her Honeymoon Tour, are reportedly rekindling their romance. The couple, who initially announced their split in July 2016, were seen together in June 2026 at De Nada Cantina in Austin.
During a May 2016 interview with Billboard, Grande expressed her happiness at the time, stating, “We’re happy. I’m a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that’s all anyone cares to know. The end.” However, just two months later, their relationship came to an end.
Recent sightings of the couple suggest that they are reconnecting. Following their June 2026 lunch, Grande made headlines by changing the lyrics to her 2018 hit “thank u, next” during a performance in Austin. Normally concluding the lyric with, “now I listen and laugh,” she opted for a different ending, saying, “They still really slap.”
Further confirming their rekindled connection, Grande performed another notable lyric at her concert on July 13, stating, “We always find our way back.” Shortly thereafter, on July 27, she appeared to soft launch their romance on Instagram, sharing a clip of herself clinking olives with Álvarez, captioned, “petal season continued …….. !” This social media post coincides with the upcoming release of her eighth album, Petal.
