In a recent interview, Chris Evans shared candid insights into his journey as a father nearly one year after welcoming his daughter, Alma Grace, with wife Alba Baptista. The Marvel actor, who married Baptista in 2023, described the emotional complexities of parenthood, noting the “unexpected” feelings that arise.
Evans expressed how much he misses Alma even while she is close by, stating, “It sounds a little cheesy, but not to other parents: How much you miss them.” He elaborated on this sentiment, saying, “You miss her while you’re holding her, you know what I mean? It’s a strange feeling. You just want to be around her all the time.”
Additionally, the 45-year-old actor remarked on the bond forming within their family, highlighting the role of his dog, Dodger, in Alma’s life. He described Dodger as an “incredible” big brother, noting the dog’s protective nature: “He’s so loving. He’s so protective. He’ll sleep outside her room when she’s napping.” Evans praised Dodger’s gentleness, emphasizing his instinct with young beings, whether human or canine.
