Marvel and WEBTOON Drop Mega Lineup Featuring Teenage Tony Stark, Isekai Deadpool, and X-Men Korea
Marvel Comics and WEBTOON have officially pulled back the curtain on an explosive new slate of vertical-scroll webcomics during the “Next Big Thing” panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Highlighting the first wave of exclusive original stories designed specifically for WEBTOON’s mobile format, the powerhouse collaboration is rolling out three major titles: Tony’s Girl, That Time Deadpool Fell Into WEBTOON…and Found The Longest Title of All Time!!!, and X-Men Korea.
Inside the Multiverse: Teenage Romance, Meta-Comedy, and Mutant Conspiracies
The newly announced titles dive deep into wildly different genres across the Marvel Universe. Tony’s Girl, written by CRC Payne with art by StarBite, rewrites history to follow a 17-year-old Tony Stark caught in a romance with Meredith McCall, the daughter of his father’s fierce business rival. Meanwhile, the meta-heavy That Time Deadpool Fell Into WEBTOON…and Found The Longest Title of All Time!!!—scripted by Ucheomaaa and illustrated by Annie Huang—throws the Merc with a Mouth headfirst into a quest across popular webcomic genres as he tries to find his way home. Rounding out the trio is X-Men Korea, developed by Studio LICO, which centers on Yeong-seo Go, a Korean high schooler who discovers his mutant abilities and enrolls at Hoseok Academy for the Gifted, only to stumble upon a dark corporate conspiracy.
