Brian Hickerson Present During Hayden Panettiere’s Cardiac Arrest in South Carolina

A police incident report obtained by NBC News on August 18 confirmed that Brian Hickerson, Hayden Panettiere’s on-and-off boyfriend, was present at the South Carolina apartment complex where the actress experienced cardiac arrest on August 16. Alongside him was his brother, Zach Hickerson.

The police report indicated that a “bag of medication” was found, which Brian stated Panettiere was taking prior to her death. Authorities have confirmed that there are no immediate signs of foul play in this case.

An autopsy conducted by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office on August 17 revealed no signs of trauma that could have contributed to Panettiere’s death.

Just one day prior to the incident, Brian had traveled with the Nashville star from California to South Carolina. Following the cardiac arrest, the Greenville Police Department responded to a report of an “unresponsive female,” later identified as Panettiere.

In a rare public appearance five months before her death, Panettiere and Hickerson were seen together at Los Angeles International Airport. At that time, she utilized crutches to assist her movement, explaining in a video, “Just had some pinched nerves in my lower back, but I’m feeling good.”

E! News has made previous attempts to contact Brian for comments, but has not received a response.
