Tyler Duckworth, Former Contestant on MTV’s The Challenge, Passes Away at 44

The death of Tyler Duckworth has profoundly impacted the community of contestants from MTV’s The Challenge. Brad Fiorenza, who won the show’s 20th season, The Challenge: Cutthroat, in 2010 alongside Duckworth, expressed his sorrow through an Instagram post on August 13, stating, “Absolutely heartbroken to hear about Tyler. We shared something special being part of The Challenge family. I’ll always be grateful for the memories we shared…Tyler will be deeply missed by so many. May his amazing soul live on in the lives he’s touched.”

In his tribute, Fiorenza shared a photo featuring himself, Duckworth, and fellow alumni Mark Long, Rachel Robinson, Tina Barta, and Paulie Calafiore, taken at a recent Challenge Mania podcast event. Duckworth had posted the same image on August 2, marking his last activity on Instagram.

Duckworth’s mother, Joni Duckworth, announced on Facebook that her son passed away “earlier this week.” The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. According to the Grand Forks Police Department, Duckworth was found unresponsive in a bathroom at his home in North Dakota after a welfare check was requested.
