Joe Jonas Reflects on Short-lived Romance with Demi Lovato as They Reunite for Camp Rock 3

Joe Jonas has opened up about his past relationship with Demi Lovato, which began while filming Camp Rock 2 in 2010. The duo’s romance, however, was brief, with both opting to reassess their feelings within months.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly in 2025, Jonas remarked, “Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one. I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break up.”

Despite their earlier breakup, the pair has come full circle, reuniting onscreen for the upcoming Camp Rock 3. Jonas expressed his enduring affection for Lovato, stating, “I love her as a friend. She’s been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.”

Lovato, who married musician Jutes last year, remains a significant figure in Jonas’s life, reflecting a friendship that has withstood the test of time.
