Lumentum shares surged approximately 7% after CEO Michael Hurlston disclosed that the company’s optical components are sold out through 2029, forecasting potential difficulties in meeting up to 70% of demand for certain products in 2024.

Apple Inc. shares dropped nearly 2% after a report from Nikkei Asia indicated the company was scaling back component orders for the iPhone 18 Pro due to weaker demand, with a 15% reduction in production orders for both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
