Bokeh Game Studio, founded by Keiichiro Toyama—who is known for directing the original Silent Hill and creating Siren and Gravity Rush—is currently developing a new horror game that remains untitled. According to MP1st, the studio is in the process of hiring motion capture performers for this upcoming project.
The casting sheet reveals a range of characters, including River, Dean, Lyra, Hazel, Becca, Dena, and Emma, alongside an eight-year-old girl. The character descriptions indicate the inclusion of mature themes such as drug use and trafficking, violence, abuse, grief, and sex work. Additionally, several characters are associated with creature transformations—a recurring element in Toyama’s previous work, Slitterhead, which did not receive widespread acclaim.
Notably, character River’s design references cultural figures River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain, while Lyra’s tonal reference is linked to actress Mia Goth. Bokeh’s initial title, Slitterhead, launched in 2024, where one review praised its unique style, stating: “Slitterhead is stylish and thrilling and unusual… How lucky we are that something as singular and unapologetically strange as this exists.”
