Massive Leak Exposes Upcoming PC Game Achievement Lists

A significant information leak has emerged, revealing full achievement lists for several upcoming and unannounced PC games, notably including Persona 6 and Kingdom Hearts 4. These lists were scraped and made available on various platforms, including SteamDB and the achievement-tracking website Exophase.
X3sphere, owner of Exophase, stated in a conversation with ResetEra that the leak might be due to a “possible screw up on Valve’s end,” as the Steam API appeared to retrieve access to achievement lists that were meant to remain private.
X3sphere remarked, “I usually never see games without an actual name pop up with achievements,” highlighting that several unnamed titles were identified during the recent scraping process.
The full extent of this leak remains uncertain, but it has revealed a wide array of affected games, potentially causing numerous spoilers to surface. A Reddit user known as KingdomHeartsII compiled a list of discovered games, which includes over a dozen titles that have not yet been announced.
Among the notable entries are a Sea of Thieves “sequel/spin-off,” a Twin Peaks game, a Candy Crush game, a Sonic game, and a Shrek game. A game titled Balatro was also noted; however, its creator, Localthunk, clarified in a statement to PC Gamer that the game is “not affiliated with me or Balatro at all,” indicating it was merely an emulation of design elements. Additionally, while Toem 2 is listed as unannounced, it has been confirmed as officially announced.
Given the nature of the leak, the credibility of the information should be approached with caution, and fans are advised to be mindful of potential spoilers within the achievement lists. For instance, diehard fans of Kingdom Hearts or Mega Man may want to avoid exploring the leaks if they wish to experience the games without prior knowledge of story elements.
