Afghanistan Secures World Cup Qualification Following Victory Over Ireland

The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the top eight teams in the ODI rankings as of September 30, excluding South Africa and Zimbabwe, will automatically qualify for the upcoming World Cup. Afghanistan clinched a spot in this elite group after a thrilling victory against Ireland in Belfast.

With this win, Afghanistan joins the ranks of defending champions Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh, as well as the host nations South Africa and Zimbabwe, who are also set to compete in the tournament.
