Brad Pitt Reveals Return to Moderate Wine Drinking After Seven Years of Sobriety
Brad Pitt has opened up about his decision to reintroduce wine into his life after a seven-year period of sobriety. In a recent interview with Esquire, the 62-year-old actor shared that he has “got back off the wagon,” but is approaching alcohol consumption with caution.
Pitt clarified that he can enjoy more than one glass of wine, but he does not consume “a lot.” He emphasized the need to “be professional about it,” indicating a mindful approach to his drinking habits.
Through experience, Pitt has learned what works for him, admitting that he “got overconfident a couple times,” and quickly recognized that “not in big quantities” is key for him. This latest revelation aligns with his past discussions regarding substance use.
In a 2017 interview with GQ, shortly after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce, Pitt stated that he “stopped everything except boozing when I started my family.” Jolie, who adopted son Maddox in 2002, daughter Zahara in 2005, and son Pax in 2007—who were all subsequently adopted by Pitt—also shares three biological children with him: daughter Shiloh, born in 2006, and twins Knox and Vivienne, born in 2008.
