Rihanna’s Partner A$AP Rocky Confirms She’s Working on New Album, R9

Rihanna is back in the studio, working on her long-awaited new album, widely referred to by fans as R9. A$AP Rocky, her partner, confirmed this during an appearance on The Jason Lee Show on August 5. He stated, “She in the studio right now. Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe. Like, bro, she working. She cooking, no funny s–t.”

A$AP Rocky, age 37, humorously acknowledged the possibility of facing consequences for revealing this information, quipping, “Damn, I’ma get in trouble for this.” Despite the off-the-cuff admission, it aligns with Rihanna’s earlier announcements regarding her return to music.

In February, Rihanna herself shared with her team in an Instagram video, “I have to go to the studio after this,” indicating her commitment to the album while also mentioning her plans to create a Mardi Gras costume for her son after the studio session.
