Lindsay Clancy’s Mental Health Declines After Recent Birth
During his testimony, Patrick Clancy revealed that Lindsay experienced significant mental health challenges after the birth of their youngest child, Callan, in May 2023. He also noted that she had previously sought assistance for her mental health after Dawson’s birth in 2019, although that treatment was short-lived.
Intrusive Thoughts and Emergency Room Visit
Patrick described a worsening of Lindsay’s condition in December 2023, coinciding with her use of a new medication. He recounted that Lindsay expressed having “intrusive thoughts” regarding harming herself and their children but assured him that she did not appear to intend to act on those thoughts. On December 31, Lindsay visited Massachusetts General Hospital due to ongoing suicidal thoughts, leading her to be admitted to a psychiatric facility. After her discharge on January 5, she showed noticeable improvement.
