Fuji TV’s evergreen staple Sazae-san captured the highest spot on the charts with an impressive 7.5% household rating on Sunday, July 26. Close behind, Detective Conan secured second place on NTV with a 5.4% rating on Saturday, July 25, while Chibi Maruko-chan rounded out the top tier on Fuji TV with 4.6%.

The week also saw notable entries from live-action and theatrical adaptations hitting television screens. The premiere episode of the new live-action series based on Tohru Fujisawa’s iconic GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka manga pulled in a solid 6.4% rating after airing on Fuji TV on Monday, July 20.
