Fuji TV Announces ‘Yūsanchi! from Yū-hachi’ Omnibus Short Anime Set for October Premiere
Fuji TV has officially announced that three popular manga works by creator Yū-hachi—Dekai Hachi, Miseban no Spis, and Ah, Tanuki wa Mō Dame Desu—are being adapted into an omnibus short anime titled Yūsanchi! from Yū-hachi. The series is scheduled to premiere this October during Fuji TV’s Nonstop! program and Kansai TV’s Shunkan Live Toretate! program.
Meet the Creative Minds Bringing Yū-hachi’s Quirky World to Life
Animation studio Fanworks is bringing the project to life, utilizing a powerhouse creative team behind the segments. Rarecho, known for Aggretsuko, is directing and scripting the Miseban no Spis and Ah, Tanuki wa Mō Dame Desu segments, while Gaku Kinoshita of Sumikko Gurashi: Koko ga Ochitsukun Desu takes the helm for the Dekai Hachi segments. The shorts will explore Yū-hachi’s uniquely charming creations: a 40cm-tall creature navigating daily life with humans, a mysterious fish that suddenly appears, and a rentable tanuki.
