Matthew McConaughey Mentors Angelina LookingGlass in New Film
Matthew McConaughey has provided guidance to his onscreen foster daughter, Angelina LookingGlass, in her first significant film role in “The Rivals of Amziah King,” set to premiere in theaters on August 14. McConaughey, known for his role in “Dazed and Confused,” has been supportive of LookingGlass during their collaboration.
In a joint interview with E! News alongside director Andrew Patterson, LookingGlass expressed her admiration for McConaughey. “He’s such an amazing person in general. He’s been such a mentor when I do need it,” she said. “Getting to work with him, I learned a lot. I love what he did in the film. I’m very proud of him,” she added.
Beyond mentoring LookingGlass, McConaughey acknowledged allowing his son, Levi, space to explore the film industry. “He’s obviously grown up around and on sets,” McConaughey noted, mentioning Levi’s experience working with crews and making short films at home. This insight appears to reflect McConaughey’s commitment to nurturing creativity in his family.
Regardless of whether his children—Levi, Vida, and Livingston—choose to pursue careers in Hollywood, McConaughey’s influence and guidance are evident in their upbringing.
