The Amazing Race Season 39 Cast Announced, Features Soccer Star Ali Krieger

The Amazing Race has announced its cast for season 39, featuring 13 pairs competing for a prize of $1 million. The season premieres on September 30 on CBS.

Among the competing teams is Ali Krieger, a two-time World Cup champion and Olympian, who will race alongside fellow professional athlete Joanna Lohman. Both soccer stars are looking forward to the adventure ahead.

Krieger expressed her excitement on Instagram, stating, “SURPRISE!! WE’RE GOING ON THE AMAZING RACE!” She described the experience as one of the toughest yet most incredible and unforgettable of her life. She emphasized the moments of laughter, personal challenges, and the memories created together.

The 42-year-old noted that having Lohman as her partner made the experience “much more special.” Krieger highlighted their unique identities by saying, “Two former pro footballers, two queer women, two moms, two Penn Staters getting the opportunity to take on this crazy adventure together. I’m so proud of what we represent and that we get to show up exactly as we are on a stage like this.”
