Ted Lasso Returns to Richmond, Welcoming AFC Richmond’s New Women’s Team
In the fourth season of Ted Lasso, Jason Sudeikis reprises his role as the iconic character, now overseeing AFC Richmond’s newly established women’s team. This shift means that several of the beloved characters from the first three seasons will not appear during this installment.
Despite the absence from the field, the series illustrates that football remains central to the lives of many characters. Coach Lasso reflects on his past by visiting the men’s team locker room, where he reunites with Roy Kent, portrayed by Brett Goldstein. This nostalgic moment features Lasso reconnecting with his well-known “Believe” sign.
During his locker room visit, observant viewers can spot the jerseys of Dani Rojas, played by Cristo Fernandez, and Isaac McAdoo, depicted by Kola Bokinni, hanging in their designated stalls, confirming their ongoing roles in the men’s team.
The fate of Jamie Tartt, played by Phil Dunster, is also unveiled, as he embarks on a new chapter in a different league.
